Trevignano di Roma

Dopo essere andati al museo militare di Vigna di Valle (ve ne ho parlato in questo post), siamo andati a Trevignano di Roma. Dopo aver pranzato ed aver preso un pochino di sole (finalmente è arrivato il caldo), ci siamo diretti verso il centro del paese.
Passiamo davanti al monumento all'abate Tommaso Silvestri (primo educatore per sordomuti, nato proprio a Trevignano) e al museo civico (l'ingresso è gratuito, ma è aperto solo la mattina tranne il sabato, giorno in cui è aperto anche il pomeriggio) e arriviamo, quindi, alla "porta d'entrata" nel centro storico del paese.
Il centro del paese non è per nulla grande, ma offre vari scorci carini in cui rifugiarsi per nascondersi dal sole in queste giornate di caldo. Arriviamo quindi fino alla chiesa parrocchiale di S. Maria Assunta, aperta solo la domenica mattina per le funzioni religiose. A questo punto ci giriamo e torniamo alla macchina. Da vedere c'è anche una rocca che si vede anche dal paese: seguendo le indicazioni, arrivate ad un sentiero che vi porterà fino a su.

After the visit to the Military Museum of Vigna di Valle (I talked about this in this post), we went to Trevignano of Rome. We had lunch and we took a little bit of sunshine (at last summer's here) and then we headed towards the city center.
We passed in front of the monument to Thomas Silvestri (first teacher for the deaf, who was born in Trevignano) and the civic museum (admission is free, but it is open only in the morning except Saturday, day in which the museum is open also in the afternoon) and we arrived to the "front door" of the city center.
The center of the country is not so big, but offers different cute views and some corners to protect from the sun and heat. Then we decided to take a walk to the parish church of St. Maria Assunta, which is open only on Sunday morning for Sunday Mass. At this point we go back to the car: we would go to the "Fortezza Orsini". To get there, we arrived by car to the path that leads to the fortress.
We began, then, to feel quite tired after this day around. So we decide to go back to the car and to return back home in Rome.
