Una giornata in Umbria: una gita a Spello

Martedi, il 24 settembre, sono stata di nuovo in Umbria ed ho passato qualche ora a Spello. Anche questo paese rientra tra i Comuni Bandiera Arancione. La prima cosa che si nota è che Spello è tutto in salita,come quasi il 99% dei paesi umbri. Ma non bisogna lasciarsi spaventare perchè questo è uno di quei posti che vanno sicuramente visti e scoperti!
Il paesino è piccolo e, come a Monteriggioni, non ci sono grandi monumenti da visitare. La sua bellezza sta nei suoi scorci, le sue stradine, ornate da tanti fiori. Passeggiate per i vicoli con tranquillità e guardatevi intorno, scoprite i suoi angoli più nascosti ed arrivate fino al belvedere, con un arco che, una volta, era una porta del paese. Da li si gode di un bel panorama e, volendo, ci si può anche sedere un attimo a riposare su alcune panchine.
Anche al ritorno prendetevela con calma, nonostante andare in discesa sia più facile: potreste scoprire cose che avevate perso all'andata!

Tuesday, September 24th , I was again in Umbria and I spent a couple of hours in Spello . Although this country is one of the the Orange Flag .
The first thing you notice is that Spello is all uphill, as almost 99% of the towns of Umbria. But you don't have to be scared of this: Spello is one of those places that you have to see and discover and you will be happy to! The village is small and, as in Monteriggioni, there are no great monuments to visit.
Its beauty lies in its views and its narrow streets, decorated with many flowers. Walking through the narrow streets with ease and look around, discover its hidden corners and come up to the viewpoint, with a bow, which was one of the front doors of the country. From there you can enjoy a beautiful view and, if you want, you can also sit for a moment to rest on some benches.
Also take it easy on the way back, despite going down hill is easier : you might find things that you lost when you was going up!
