Umbria: Narni

Il caldo si fa sentire, sono le 3 del pomeriggio... Troviamo posto in un grande parcheggio dove ci sono posti sia gratuiti che a pagamento (0,5 euro all'ora). Il primo tratto ce lo facciamo con un piccolo ascensore/funivia: in un minuto siamo "su".
Arriviamo a Piazza Garibaldi: foto di rito ai palazzi caratteristici ed alla fontana al centro della piazza. Capatina a "vedere" la Cisterna medievale (virgolettato perchè ovviamente da fuori risulta buia, si sente solo il rumore dell'acqua. Però ci sono delle visite organizzate per vedere la "Narni sotterranea"). Quindi poi ci dedichiamo alla Cattedrale di San Giovenale, sull'altro lato della piazza. Passiamo la Porta del Vescovo e arriviamo a Piazza Cavour: li facciamo qualche foto al porticato del Duomo ed al Palazzo Vescovile. Quindi imbocchiamo via Garibaldi, il "passaggio della città" (la "via dello struscio", se preferite) ed arriviamo a Piazza dei Priori dove troviamo il Palazzo dei Priori ed il Palazzo del Podestà. Lungo Via Mazzini ammiriamo alcune residenze gentilizie come Palazzo Mosca e Palazzo Bocciarelli e la Chiesa di Santa Maria in Pensole. Continuamo a passeggiare tra i vicoli, tra salite e discese. Ci fermiamo davanti alla Chiesa di San Francesco (ci sono poi anche le chiese di San Domenico e Sant'Agostino. Decidiamo poi di andare a vedere la Rocca Albornonziana: ci siamo fatti una scarpinata in salita e sotto il sole, diverse volte abbiamo pensato di rinunciare ad arrivarci, ma alla fine ne è valsa veramente la pena!!
Se non volete però farvi questa camminata, ci sono delle navette che attraversano la città e, alcune, partono dal parcheggio delle macchina (ah, sono navette gratuite!!). Ripresa la macchina, torniamo verso Roma decisamente soddisfatti!!

We arrive to Narni at 3 pm, and it's very hot... We find a parking in a large parking lot where there are places both free and pay (0.5 euro per hour). The first part we do it with a small lift / cable car: we are in the centre in a minute.
We arrive at Piazza Garibaldi usual photos to typical buildings and the fountain in the center of the square. Detour to "see" Medieval Cistern (quotation marks because obviously it is dark outside, you hear only the sound of water. But there are organized tours to see the "Narni underground"). We turn to look at the cathedral of St. Juvenal, on the other side of the square. Let the Bishop's Gate and arrive in Piazza Cavour: they do some photos of the porch of the Cathedral and the Bishop's Palace. So we take Via Garibaldi, the "passage of the city" and we arrive in Piazza dei Priori, where we find the Palazzo dei Priori and the Palazzo del Podesta. Along Via Mazzini admire some noble residences such as Palazzo Bocciarelli Moscow and Palace and the Church of Santa Maria in Pensole. We continue to walk through the alleys, climbs and descents. We stop in front of the Church of San Francesco (There are also the churches of St. Dominic and St. Augustine. We decided then to go see the Rock Albornonziana: we took a hike uphill and under the sun, several times we thought give to get, but in the end it was worth really worth!
If however you do not want this walk, there are shuttles that run through the city, and some depart from the parking lot of the car (ah, shuttles are free!). Returning to the car, back to Rome very satisfied!
